Dear Teacher of French:

It is no secret that French immersion trips can really motivate and inspire your students, and it is widely
known that they are very effective in building and maintaining enrollments in French language programs.

However, for every French student with the wherewithal to take a trip to Europe, there are twenty without, so in 1986, Visit Canada was founded to create inexpensive French immersion trips that would be affordable and available to any interested student.

For 20 years thereafter, Montréal and Québec City have been the destinations of choice for teachers of French who

either lacked the time, or whose students lacked the means for a language immersion trip abroad. However, the measures of affordability have gradually changed during that time, and we now realize that there are children for whom even a trip to Montréal or Québec has become difficult or impossible.

Mindful of our mission, we have formed a new “VISIT QUÉBEC” division, with its own series of carefully structured but lower priced trips created to keep high quality French immersion programs within the reach of virtually every deserving student.

There may be less expensive trips in the marketplace, but there is a point beyond which content just shouldn't be eliminated. We have thought long and hard about this, and we sincerely believe that our VISIT QUÉBEC programs represent the ultimate balance of meticulous planning, wonderful, bilingual guides and diligent cost control.

We know the needs of French students and their teachers as well as anyone in North America, and we would welcome an opportunity to demonstrate that to you.
